The German vocational study abroad program is receiving the most attention from young Vietnamese people because they have the opportunity to receive many supports and incentives from vocational schools in Germany. Furthermore, this program is also an opportunity for you to develop well in the future with good careers, high salaries, stable jobs and long-term settlement opportunities. Faced with a scarcity of human resources, the German government has made many significant changes in vocational student visa applications in recent years. Specifically, the requirement for a short-term background certificate in a major has been removed. German language proficiency requirements are also being relaxed: from B2 to B1, and only A2 from March 2020. This change has contributed to shortening the path to realizing the dream of studying and working in Germany. However, many young people are confused and wonder whether A2 German level is enough for them to study and live here. Let's find out and answer questions about this issue with Vo Gia Edu! 1. Opportunity - The biggest opportunity this brings is that your language learning process will be much shorter than before. If you study abroad in Germany with a B1 degree, you will have to go through a longer language learning period, usually A1-A2-B1. This phase will last from about 9 months. - Learning German in Germany will help your German improve much more quickly. Those who study abroad with an A2 degree usually will not participate in the vocational program as soon as they arrive in Germany. Instead, you will have to participate in a B1 language class to improve your German level. You should not panic and worry about whether you can complete this course well or not. Because reality shows that many people in Vietnam have difficulty taking the B1 exam, but when they arrive in Germany, they are required to interact and communicate daily with native speakers, and are required to use common language. Often, there are surprising results. You can quickly pass the B1 exam right after finishing this language course. - Coming to Germany sooner means you can make money sooner. You can work up to 10 hours/week with an income of about 9 euros/1 hour while studying language in Germany. That income can help you cover all living expenses in Germany. 2. Challenges - A2 language level will make it difficult for you to integrate into living and studying life in Germany as soon as you arrive in Germany because you do not have enough language ability to understand and communicate. Therefore, you will need to spend more time to improve your German. - You will have fewer vocational school choices because not all schools in Germany offer Contracts when you only have an A2 degree. - The cost of learning a language in Germany is much more expensive than studying in Vietnam. As mentioned above, you will have to participate in a B1 language class to improve your German level before participating in vocational training. B1 German courses range from about 800 - 1000 euros depending on the region and time. - Must prove financial status (CMTC) for the entire language study period of 3-6 months. At the present time, the Embassy requires CMTC 909 euros/month. Therefore, the amount of CMTC for the period of language learning is not small.
